| Visit from MonksMarch 3, 2000Dear Ones: What a night & what a day. I returned home last night to our visiting Monks everywhere in the Yard, on the porch, & just having a great time. So far we have had a blessings from them, chanted with them, fed them, & listened to the words of the Master. Several of the Monks at this very moment are working on a closure for the top of my stairs where a child could fall from & they just rounded up all the materials. Since we don't speak Thailnise... then we really don't know what they are doing but it sure looks nice; & they have cleaned everything & sharpened every knife. The children have been so amazing...Heather has been with them & talking to them (Our little teenage hermit) & they gifted her a book; this morning when they were playing hacky sack with a ball Baby Ben just sit & watched...He ran up the to Master when he walked in the Door & just give him a big hug & kiss; Cody who is a loner is just one of the Monks... walking like them & sitting while they tell him stories....Tonight they are going to do a slide show. Today when they ate...they won't eat unless you give them the food so we all lined up outside & gave each Monk some rice in their "begger" bowls...It was so neat. We are having a most wonderful time...The teachings are so great. Greg Martins from Baltimore just flew in & arrived just in time to go to the Sweat Lodge. Last night we had a sharing time...with each Monk telling his journey this life & each of us sharing ours. They just kept asking so many questions about Sundancing & then they wanted to do a Sweat Lodge so I asked Richard to come home from working on Mike's New Restaurant in La Grange...Mike came in & gifted me with a wooden corn tortia maker which is now painted with the Virgin of Guadalupe...Oh My Gosh. Please come out & visit with these most marvelous Monks. Love Thunder |
